KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 22
Morning mist is likely to grip parts of the Terai today as Nepal remains under the partial influence of westerly winds, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's 24-hour forecast issued on Sunday morning.
The Himalayan region will stay generally cloudy through the day while the hills remain partly cloudy. The Terai will otherwise see mainly fair weather.
According to the MFD, light rain or snowfall is possible at a few locations in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces, and at one or two spots in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province. Scattered light precipitation is also forecast across the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Tonight, hazy conditions are expected at a few places in the Terai. The Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces will see partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will remain mainly fair. Light rain or snowfall may occur at one or two locations in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces overnight.
In Kathmandu Valley, skies will be partly cloudy during the day with maximum temperatures expected between 21°C and 23°C. The night will be mainly fair, with minimums ranging between 8°C and 10°C.
