KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 7

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy conditions across the hilly regions of Nepal and partly cloudy skies elsewhere today.

Moderate rainfall is likely in several hilly areas and isolated places in other parts of the country, with chances of heavy downpours at one or two locations in the hilly belts of Koshi and Karnali Provinces.

For tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, as well as in the hilly regions nationwide.

Moderate rain is likely in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, while a few hilly and Tarai areas in other provinces may also experience showers. One or two areas in the Tarai region of Koshi Province face the risk of heavy rainfall.

According to DHM, the monsoon's low-pressure line is currently positioned slightly south of its average location in the west and at normal levels in the east. A low-pressure system over Sikkim and adjoining regions is expected to affect eastern Nepal.
