KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 18
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy conditions across the country today, with a high chance of rain in many regions.
Moderate rainfall is expected in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, while a few places in other parts of Nepal may also see showers.
One or two locations in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces could experience heavy downpours.
Tonight, skies will remain mostly cloudy nationwide, with moderate rain possible at a few spots in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and isolated showers elsewhere.
According to DHM, the monsoon's low-pressure line remains near its normal position, while moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal continue to influence Nepal's weather.
In the Kathmandu Valley, conditions will stay generally cloudy with intermittent rain. Afternoon temperatures are expected to hover between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius with a 70 percent chance of rain, while nighttime lows will range from 18 to 20 degrees Celsius with a 60 percent chance of rainfall.
