KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 17
Nepal Telecom (NT) has introduced a new robotic service aimed at enhancing customer support and improving operational efficiency.
The robot named "Maina" was launched today at the NT office in Sundhara, Office Chief Dinesh Chandra Panthi said. It is a demo version and would be employed later.
The initiative is designed to systematize the growing work pressure on staff, as the office handles an average of 200-300 customers daily.
With a limited workforce, it has become increasingly difficult to manage the influx of visitors. The robot will assist customers with general inquiries and provide answers to over 600 NTC-related questions.
In addition, plans are underway to integrate advanced technology into the robot to further strengthen its service capabilities.
The robot is capable of communicating in both English and Nepali languages, making it accessible to a wider range of customers.
