KATHMANDU, APRIL 22

The country is set to experience intermittent rainfall and thunderstorms in various locations, mainly in select areas of the hilly regions spanning Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with isolated occurrences expected in one or two spots of the hilly regions within Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD), hilly areas in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will observe partly to generally cloudy weather conditions, while Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces will experience partly cloudy skies. Meanwhile, the remainder of the country is anticipated to remain mainly fair.

As night falls, the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are forecasted to maintain partly to generally cloudy skies, while the skies above the rest of the country will remain mainly fair through the night.

Additionally, the MFD predicts the possibility of light snowfall in one or two locations within the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces today, with continued snowfall expected in Gandaki and Karnali provinces into the night.

Presently, Nepal is under the partial influence of westerly winds and local atmospheric conditions.
