KATHMANDU, JUNE 1
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast partly to generally cloudy skies over hilly areas and across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces today. The rest of the country is likely to experience mainly fair to partly cloudy weather.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki provinces and the hilly regions, and at one or two places elsewhere.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide, with similar chances of rain and thunderstorms in the eastern and central provinces and hilly areas.
According to the Department, the western and central regions are currently influenced by westerly and local winds, while monsoon winds are affecting most parts of Koshi Province.
In the Kathmandu Valley, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected throughout the day and night, with brief rain or thundershowers possible. The probability of rainfall stands at around 30 percent in the afternoon and 20 percent at night.
