The weather in Kathmandu is expected to be relatively moderate, while Janakpur and Bhairahawa to be the hottest place in the country

KATHMANDU, JULY 27

The country will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms in various regions, according to the weather forecast provided by the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD).

According to the MFD, some hilly areas may encounter light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Similar weather conditions are also anticipated in few other parts of the country.

Furthermore, the MFD has issued alerts about the possibility of heavy rainfall in certain areas of the Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

As the day progresses into the evening, the weather will continue to be partly to generally cloudy across the entire country. Few places in the hilly regions will experience light to moderate rain with occasional thunder and lightning. Similarly, the terai regions may also experience similar weather conditions. Additionally, both the Koshi and Lumbini Provinces are expected to face heavy rainfall in specific areas.

On Thursday, the weather in Kathmandu is expected to be relatively moderate, with the maximum temperature reaching 29.5°C, while the minimum temperature will be at 20.3°C.

In stark contrast, Janakpur is set to be the hottest place in the country. The maximum temperature in Janakpur will soar to a sweltering 35.5°C, while the minimum temperature will still be quite high at 28.6°C.

Following closely behind, Bhairahawa will also encounter hot weather, with the maximum temperature reaching 34.7°C and the lowest temperature expected to be around 27.3°C.
