KATHMANDU, AUGUST 14

The number of cholera patients has increased in recent times with 38 cases in Lalitpur district alone.

According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, the number of cholera cases reached 50 across the country till Tuesday.

The Division said that there are two cases of cholera in Kathmandu district, eight in Kailali and two more in Pyuthan district.

 

Meanwhile, rapid response teams have been deployed in collaboration with the province and local governments in the cholera-affected areas. The rapid response teams are screening for patients and those remaining in close contact with the patients, says the Division.
