Kathmandu, June 20:

The Nepal Youth Society (NYS) today honoured 11 people with the ‘Rastriya Sewa Samman-2007’ for their “outstanding” contribution to the nation.

The 11 were honoured at a workshop on ‘Role of Youths in Constituent Assembly poll’, organised by the NYS. The recipients of the honour include Dr Harka Bahadur Budha, Ranjan Sharma Khanal, Subash Niraula, Tulsi Thapa, Umesh Jung Rayamajhi, Kami Sherpa and Sita Ram Hachhethu.

Felicitating the figures, Mina Pandey, a former minister and central committee member of the Nepali Congress, said that the youths should work to conduct Constituent Assembly polls.

“The first step leading to the solution to all kinds of problems is the CA polls,” she said, adding that the youths should make sure that the polls are held peacefully.”
