SANKHU: The Metropolitan Police Range has apprehended 14 people on the charge of gambling from Shankharapur Municipality-6 in Kathmandu.

They were arrested from a hotel run by local Raj Kumar Tamang on Friday evening along with Rs 182,875 in cash.

Those arrested include Man Bahadur Majhi (41) of Dhankuta, Baburam Tamang (32) of Nuwakot, Suresh Lama (35) of Kavre, among others, Police Inspector Laxmi Khanal informed.

They have been handed over to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha for necessary action.
