KATHMANDU: There will be 18 lottery boxes from which National Assembly members will have to draw lots to know their tenure.

According to Murari Mahat, a joint secretary at the Parliament Secretariat., there will be one box in each province for women cluster and one box in each province for members elected under open category.

There will be one box for seven Dalit members (one Dalit member is elected from each province) and there will be one box for seven members with disabilities or members from minority communities (each province elects one member with disabilities or member from minority community).

Similarly, there will be one box for three members who were nominated by the president and one box for two members who will choose between four- and six-year tenure in the second round.
