2 fuel black marketeers held

KATHMANDU: Police arrested two persons on charge of selling petrol at a higher rate than its marked price, from Kathmandu on Saturday.

Nawaraj Basnet (26), a resident of KMC-25, was selling petrol at Rs 500 per litre when he was nabbed by the police near Sunrise Chok on Saturday. He is a permanent resident of Barbuna-7 of Morang.

Likewise, Bhaksudhan Chaudhary (32), a resident of Jachhuda-2, Nawalparasi, was arrested while he was selling petrol at Rs 350 per litre near Shiva Temple of Tokha-13 on Saturday.

Police also confiscated additional 30 litres of petrol and four litre turpentine from Basnet and 39 litres of petrol from Chaudhary’s possession.

Police informed that they are investigating into the cases.
