KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday arrested two persons with a statue with archaeological significance.

The suspects have been identified as Anoj Shrestha (31) and Dinesh Maharjan (29) of Lagan Tole, KMC-21.

A police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Janasewa intercepted a bike (Ba 20 Pa 5) they were riding on, at Sundhara, KMC-11 yesterday and confiscated the statue.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
