2 theft cases reported in Capital
KATHMANDU: Police said that two incidents of property crime were reported in the Capital on Thursday.
Property worth around Rs 1,290,000 was stolen from an unattended house in Gokulpati, Balambu of Chandragiri Municipality-17.
According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the house of Tika Maya Shrestha after breaking the bolt of the door and decamped with Rs 500,000 in cash and various gold ornaments weighing 13 tola.
Similarly, cash and valuables worth around Rs 210,000 were stolen from the house of Manjushree Dawadi in Chandragiri Municipality-23 yesterday.
Unidentified thieves sneaked into the house after breaking the ventilator of a window and made off with Rs 10,000 in cash, a laptop and an iPhone, police informed.
Police said that they are looking into both cases.
