KATHMANDU: Police said that two incidents of theft were reported in the Capital on Wednesday.

Property worth around Rs 66,000 was stolen from a house at Nagarjun Municipality-7.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the house of Hira Devi Khatri after breaking the padlock of the main door and made off with various gold ornaments and Rs 10,000 in cash.

The house was unattended when the incident occurred.

Similarly, cash and gold ornaments worth around Rs 107,000 were stolen from the house of Gopi Krishna KC at Sinkhada Gaun in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-6.

Police said that various gold ornaments and Rs 20,000 in cash were stolen from the house of KC.

Police said that they are looking into both cases.
