25 per cent salary hike for postal service staff
Kathmandu, September 22
A meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to increase the salary of postal service employees by 25 per cent, effective from July 16.
The Cabinet has decided to appoint Kamini Rajbhandari as the Executive Director of Nepal Telecom and send senior agro-economics specialist Dr Pradyumna Kumar Pandey to SAARC Agriculture Centre in Dhaka on deputation, shared Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki.
The government has also designated Under-Secretary at Ministry of Finance Dinanath Upadhya as an adviser to the executive director of World Bank, especially with the Terms of Reference to work in the south-east section.
Minister Karki further shared that the government has pledged to work for the rehabilitation of freed Kamaiyas (previous bonded labourers) within a couple of years.
Similarly, the government has decided to promote joint investigation directors duo Laxman Gurung and Ram Bahadur Karki to the posts of investigative directors at the National Investigation Department.
