KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday seized 285 lathis from cadres of the Federal Alliance and its constituents.

Hundreds of the Alliance cadres today had picketed Singhadarbar demanding the Constitution be rewritten.

Police said the sticks were seized from Maitighar Mandala, the southwestern point outside the Singhadarbar complex, today.

Meanwhile, a government vehicle (Ba 1 Jha 3610) was vandalised by protesters nearby Mandala today.

The rear windshield of the Bolero was smashed, according to police.
