3 injured in assorted road accidents in Capital

KATHMANDU: Three persons were injured in separate road accidents in the Capital on Tuesday.

Two persons were injured when a taxi hit a motorcycle they were riding on at Maharajgunj in Kathmandu.

The injured have been identified as biker Lal Bahadur Tamang (43) of Nuwakot, currently living at Chundevi and pillion rider Dil Bahadur Tamang (43) of Lamjung.

Police said that the taxi hit the bike at around 9 pm.

The injured have been taken to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for treatment.

Police said that they are searching for the taxi (Ba 2 Ja 9463) driver who fled the scene after the incident.

Similarly, a woman was critically injured after a motorbike hit a scooter she was riding on at Chuchepati in Kathmandu.

The injured has been identified as Mandira Dulal (29) of Panchthar, currently residing at Chabahil.

The unidentified motorbike hit the scooter (Ba 63 Pa 9513) at around 4:15 pm.

The injured is receiving treatment at the Chabahil-based Helping Hands Community Hospital.

Police said that they have impounded both the two-wheelers.
