3 thefts reported in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police said that three incidents of property crime were reported in the Kathmandu Valley on Friday.

Gold ornaments worth around Rs 270,000 were stolen from a house at Balambu Pul in Chandragiri Municipality-17 on Thursday.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves broke into the house of Srijana Regmi after breaking the bolt of the door and made of with the ornaments.

The house was unattended when the incident occurred.

Similarly, cash and valuables worth around Rs 687,000 were stolen from the rented room of Kumar Shrestha at Town Planning in KMC-29 yesterday.

Police said that Rs 400,000 in cash, a camera and various gold ornaments were stolen from the unattended room of Shrestha.

Police said that they have arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in the theft.

Likewise, property worth around Rs 177,000 was stolen from the rented room of Dibas Shrestha at Kupandol in Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-10.

Police said that gold coins, a TV set, a laptop were stolen from the room of Shrestha.

The room was unattended when the incident occurred.

Police said that they are looking into all cases.
