3 thefts reported in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police said that three incidents of property crime were reported in the Kathmandu Valley on Monday.

Property worth around Rs 226,000 was stolen from a rented room in Suryabinayak Municipality-5 of Bhaktapur.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves barged into the room of Bimala Tamang after breaking the bolt of the door and made off with Rs 40,000 in cash, two computer sets, and various gold ornaments.

The room was unattended when the incident occurred.

Similarly, unidentified thieves stole Rs 90,000 from the house of Nabin Raut at Lokanthali in Thimi Municipality-16 of Bhaktapur.

Likewise, cash and valuables worth around Rs 235,000 were stolen from the room of Kul Prasad Limbu at Dhobighat, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-3.

Police said that Rs 20,000 in cash, a camera and various gold ornaments were stolen from the unattended room of Limbu.

Police said that they are looking into all cases.
