32 persons donate blood
Kathmandu, February 26:
Thirty-two people donated blood at a programme organised in the capital today.
The programme was organised by the Chirayu National Health and Research Centre Pvt Ltd (CNHRC) and the Youth for Environment and Society (YES).
Navaraj Bhattarai, vice-president of the YES, said, “We have organised this programme to serve the people.”
Bhattarai said the programme will be organised in future, too.
Bishnu Sapkota, a community medical assistant at the CNHRC Health, said, “This is the first social programme organised by the CNHRC.”
Sapkota informed that the blood collected will be donated to the Central Blood Transfusion Service (CBTS) of the Nepal Red Cross Society.
“Staffers and promoters of the health centre, members of the YES and other people donated blood at the programme,” Sapkota further said.
