KATHMANDU, JANUARY 31
The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Nepal Office, in collaboration with Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital and the Institute of Medicine, organized the 4th JICA Chair on January 29, focusing on maternal and child health (MCH).
The event brought together nearly 70 participants from academic institutions, hospitals, government agencies, and professional organizations to discuss evidence-based approaches to improving MCH services in Nepal. Experts from Japan and Nepal shared experiences, research findings, and best practices.
The discussions aligned with JICA's ongoing four-year technical cooperation project aimed at improving the continuum of care for mothers and children through the use of the Maternal and Child Health Handbook, currently being implemented in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
