KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday arrested five persons red-handed while they were allegedly stealing various things from a house located in Naya Basti, KMC-6.

They had targeted the house of Shankar Bhandari for the act last night when police busted them.

Police have identified the suspects as Karma Lama (28) of Sindhupalchok, Raj Kumar Raut (35) of Sunsari, Amar Kumar Hodihari (26) of Morang, Prashant Tamang (25) of Kavre, and Pasang Tamang(32) of Sindhupalchok.

The law enforcement personnel also seized from them 12 coils of electrical wire, a generator, a gas cylinder, a plastic container, a water motor, and two blades of different types they reportedly used to enter into the house.

Further investigation is underway, said police.
