Kathmandu, June 1:
Giving continuity to the protests against regression, activists of the five agitating parties took out a rally in the capital today, which, after passing through the main thoroughfares of the city, converged into a corner meeting at Ratnapark. Though the high commands of the five parties were scheduled to address the meeting, the schedule had to be postponed as differences emerged between the leaders of the parties at a meeting at the CPN-UML headquarters in Balkhu yesterday.
CPN-UML leader Subash Nemwang, NC leader Krishna Sitaula and Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandi Devi) leader Anil Jha, addressing the meeting today, said that there were no differences between the agitating parties. The crowd cheered when they brushed aside their differences and vowed to give continuity to the movement. Meanwhile, activists of the NC (Democratic), staging a sit-in at Bhotahity today, demanded that the Sher Bahadur Deuba government be reinstated.
