Over 5,000 commute on free Nepal Police buses this Dashain

KATHMANDU: The free bus service provided by Nepal police during the six days of Dashain festival provided service to 5,656 passengers along different routes in the Kathmandu Valley.

The national police had operated three buses along three routes from October 8 to October 13.

The bus (Ba 1 Ga 2591) was operated in the route from Naxal towards Putalisadak, Maitighar, Kupondol, Jawalakhel, Ekantakuna, Balkhu, Kalanki, Kalimati, Tripureshor, Sahidgate, Jamal, Durbarmarg and finally back to Naxal.

The second bus (Ba 1 Ga 2474) travelled along the Naxal-Ratopul-Gaushala-Koteshor-Tinkune-Babarmahal-Maitighar-Tripureshor-Jamal-Lainchaur-Lajimpat-Narayan Gopal Chok-Baluwatar-Naxal route.

Likewise, the third bus (Ba 1 Ga 2608) travelled along the Naxal-Jaya Nepal-Lainchaur-Sorhakhutte-Balaju-Naya Buspark-Tilangetar-Narayan Gopal Chok-Sukedhara-Chabahil, Gaushala-Ratopul-Naxal route.

The buses ran from 10 am and 7 pm everyday during those six days.
