58th Republic Day of India marked, 15 ambulances donated

Kathmandu, January 26:

The government of India has provided 15 ambulances to various social organisations and government agencies at a function organised to mark the 58th Republic Day of India on the premises of the Indian embassy today.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee handed over the ambulances to various organisations. According to a press release issued by the embassy, three ambulances were provided to various organisations of Parsa, Sarlahi and Bara districts by the Counsel General of India at a function held in Birjung today.

Mukherjee also presented books to 15 schools, colleges and libraries mostly located in remote and rural areas.

He also presented various classical musical instruments such as Sitar, Tabla, Pakhawaj, Dholak, Ghunghroo, Harmonium, Flute, Violin and others to ten music colleges and organisations engaged in the promotion of classical music.
