6 robbers caught
Kathmandu, August 2:
The Crime Investigation Branch of the Valley Police has recently arrested six members of a group on the charge of looting property worth over Rs 600,000 from different houses in the athmandu Valley over the past six months. The arrested have been identified as Bishnu Lama, 19, Deep Lama, 18, Rakesh Lama, 16, Hiralal Tamang, 18, residents of Dhading, and 19-year-old Raj Kumar Magar and Binod Ghale, residents of Chitawan and Makawanpur respectively. Bachaspati Regmi, the deputy superintendent of police at the Valley Police Office, said they were arrested on different dates, adding that three persons of the group were still at large. According to the police, among others, they had robbed the houses of Dudarshan Gautam and Chandra Devi Pela in Naikap, Binod KC in Maharajgunj, Rudra Prasad Ghimire in Sukedhara, Suryaman Shresthat in Sitapaila, and Durgadutta Poudel in KMC-1.
