7th science and technology conference from March 29
KATHMANDU: The 7th national science and technology conference is going to take place from March 29 to 31 in the Capital city.
The conference is to be held at the Nepal Academy for Science and Technology (NAST) with the theme- Science, Technology and Innovation for Nepal's Graduation to Developing Country Status.
As stated in a press meet today, around 1,000 scientists and experts from the country as well as 10 other countries are taking part in the conference.
Working papers aimed at helping post-quake reconstruction in Nepal will be presented at the conference, which is to be inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, conference coordinator Dr Prakash Kumar Paudel informed.
The conference will end with a declaration on policy measures, strategy and priorities, to upgrade Nepal into a developing country.
The NAST has been hosting the conference in every four years since its inception.
