As many as 800,000 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine provided by the United Kingdom via the COVAX facility, arrived here today.

World Bank-financed Moderna vaccines arrive in Nepal to protect children and youth from COVID-19 

This is the first batch of 2.1 million AstraZeneca vaccines being provided by the UK to Nepal.

The vaccines arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport this morning onboard Qatar Airways.

Nicola Pollitt, the British Ambassador to Nepal said, "UK is happy to support the government of Nepal of Nepal's vaccination Campaign," stressing "vaccines work".

"Thank you, United Kingdom, for this generous help! This will greatly support Nepal's vaccination drive," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said while accepting the vaccines.
