As many as 800,000 doses of China developed Vero cell Covid-19 vaccines have arrived in the capital from China.

The said amount of vaccines arrived this morning in a Nepal Airlines aircraft.

More vaccines are expected to arrive from the northern neighboring country in the coming days.

The NA flight had had taken off for the Chinese capital on Thursday to ferry anti-Covid vaccines procured under the government-to-government scheme.

NAC has scheduled a total of three flights until July 23 in a bid to carry the vaccines procured from Sinopharm, wherein the next two flights for the purpose will be conducted on July 15 and July 22.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population's data on Thursday, a total of 3,545,675 people have received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 2,611,807 have received the first dose while only 933,868 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
