Absconding bank fraud nabbed

KATHMANDU: An absconding bank forgery convict has been nabbed from New Baneshwor of Kathmandu on Wednesday.

Ram Chandra Timilsina from Jupu VDC-1 of Achham district was arrested by a team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police today.

The Patan Appellate Court, on December 7, 2014, had convicted him in the forgery case and slapped three-year jail term and a fine of Rs 10.6 million.

The Court had observed that Timilsina was one among the persons who did not pay back the loan of around Rs 446 million to the Thapathali-based Crystal Finance Limited.

Meanwhile, Timilsina has been presented before the Kathmandu District Court today itself for execution of the verdict.
