KATHMANDU, APRIL 01
After suspending its leaders Madhav Nepal and Bhim Rawal from the party for a period of six months, the ruling CPN-UML has now taken action against leaders Ghanashyam Bhusal and Surendra Pandey.
Mirroring his decision to strip Nepal and Rawal of their responsibilities and authority pursuant to Article 49(b) of the party's statute, UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has suspended Bhusal and Pandey from the party for six months. The reason provided for the action against the two leaders was that the explanations provided by them, as sought against the clarification for their activities, were not satisfactory.
The four leaders have been accused of conducting anti-party activities with close aides of Oli publicly batting for action against them.
