KATHMANDU, APRIL 3

The standing committee meeting of Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of CPN-UML has decided to focus on nationwide organisation building and party strengthening.

The meeting held on Saturday decided to announce the campaign, which will last for two months, to foster unity within CPN-UML across the nation.

Similarly, it has been learnt that the UML faction supporting Madhav Nepal will hold various events in the country, including the capital city, to emphasise the importance of communist movement and to "protect party unity".

Earlier, CPN-UML leaders including former prime minister Nepal and leader Bhim Bahadur Rawal had been suspended from the party for six months citing their failure to provide reasonable clarification for their activities, which were deemed against party values by the dissenting faction led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
