KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 22

Newly appointed Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr. Madan Prasad Pariyar assumed office today.

While taking charge at the ministry in Singha Durbar, he proposed forming a coordination committee to implement the earlier agreement between Nepal and Korea on research in potato and rice cultivation.

It has been shared that the committee will be chaired by the ministry's secretary and tasked with carrying out the necessary coordination work.

Speaking to journalists after assuming office, Minister Pariyar reaffirmed his commitment to advancing efforts in the agricultural sector. He underscored the government's determination to pursue administrative reforms and curb mismanagement.

He further pledged to contribute actively toward fulfilling the government's current mandate of introducing reforms, ending mismanagement, and ensuring the successful conduct of elections.
