KATHMANDU, APRIL 3
Prasanna Pandarinathan, also known as Pressy, has ventured into the world of culinary writing with the release of her cookbook memoir, Ammi.
The book is named after the Ammi Kallu, a traditional South Indian stone grinder.
Pandarinathan has filled Ammi with recipes by her beloved mother, Nirmala Pandarinathan with great stories about her life experiences, all accompanied by beautiful photographs representing the essence of her family's lifelong culinary journey.
Ammi was released on January 15, 2021, to much praise among the Lifestyle community, with positive remarks from FEMINA magazine, The Hindu, and Vogue, among others.
This is Prasanna Pandarinathan's first book ever. Before this, she was a well-known model who journeyed to becoming a photographer. She has lived in several countries and her work reflects this cross-cultural influence. Prasanna's mother, Nirmala passed away in 2010 after which, she carefully crafted Ammi to preserve her mother's memories while sharing her homely recipes with the world.
