Armed men rob restaurant on Lalitpur outskirts
KATHMANDU: A gang of three persons barged into the Sirupati Rainbow Restaurant at Badikhel on the outskirts of Lalitpur on Tuesday and robbed valuables and money.
Police said they wielded a pistol-like weapon to intimidate staffers at the restauranter and decamped with Rs 68,000 and other valuables including a laptop.
The robbers are yet to be identified.
In another case of theft, wool worth Rs 65,000 and Rs 40,000 cash were stolen from a shop at Otu in Kathmandu, police said.
