Bakra-Eid celebrated

KATHMANDU: A spirit of bonhomie and festive cheer marked Bakra-Eid, one of the biggest festivals of Muslims, as the Muslim community celebrated the festival exchanging greetings and offering prayers at mosques in the capital on Friday.

This festival is also called Eid-al-Adha. The festival commemorates the readiness of Abraham to sacrifice his son to honor his God’s command.
