KATHMANDU: Bhola Thapa has been appointed the new vice-chancellor of the Kathmandu University.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the Chancellor of the KU, appointed Thapa the VC on Wednesday.

Prof Thapa along with the outgoing two time VC of the University Ram Kantha Makaju and Balchandra Luintel were in the race for the top post at the University.
