Big III decide to form talks team to hold dialogues with disgruntled parties

KATHMANDU: Top leaders of the three major political parties—Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist—on Thursday decided to form a talks team to hold dialogues with the disgruntled parties.

The decision was made at a meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar today.

During the meeting, UCPN-M Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal propsed to form the talks team on behalf of three major parties.The proposal was later accepted by two other parties.

Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on Tuesday had reached out to Madhesi leaders and urged them to come for talks to resolve the issues.

In response, they had demanded a concrete roadmap from the side of state and major parties.

Considering the domestic situation, Koirala called off his trip to New York yesterday.
