Bijukchhe joins issue with PPP
Thimi, October 31:
Chairman of the Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe has termed the current government’s policy on Public-Private Partnership as an act of “keeping a tiger and a goat in a same cage”.
Felicitating local senior citizens and team leaders of instrument playing groups during a language and literature conference organised at Madhyapur Thimi, Bijukchhe said the PPP model was not going to benefit the public.
On the occasion, Bijukchhe said ethnic slogans would not end class differences. He said those talking about Newar state and Newar liberation were trying to keep the people in the dark as they had elected Bahuns and Chhetris to the posts of chairperson and secretary of the Newa State Committee.
CA member Leela Nyaichyai and journalist Bhairabh Risal stressed the need to protect languages and literature.
