KATHMANDU: A motorcyclist was killed after his motorcycle met with an accident at Jarsingh Pauwa of Shankharapur Municipality-3 on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Shiva Thakuri of Saraswatinagar in Bouddha, police said. Police said he had lost control over the two-wheeler (Ba 82 Pa 1065).

Sunita Tanang (19), who was riding pillion with Thakuri, has sustained injuries in the accident. She is being treated at the People's Life Care Hospital in Sankhu.

Tamang, who hails from Madi of Chitwan district, is currently residing in Jorpati of Kathmandu.
