Around 100 persons took out a rally today in Baneshwor in protest of the February 1 move. The difference was that the rallyists were blindfolded, their mouths stuck shut by sticky adhesive tape, and hands and feet bound in chains. The rally was taken out by activists of the Democratic National Youth Federation (DNYF) from Ratna Rajya high school to the Birendra International Co-nvention Centre protesting “royal democracy”. According to the rallyists

“royal democracy” has deprived the people of their rights to speak, see and move, leading the people to live life as prisoners. DNYF office secretary Indra Lal Sapkota the royal takeover

had taken the people back to the 16th Century and had “sna-tched our fundamental rights”. He vowed to “keep fighting it till the end”.
