Blockade at border points to end soon, assures PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said the current blockade at the Indo-Nepal border points could not last long.

Speaking at a Deusi Bhailo programme organised by the Reporters' Club on the concluding day of Tihar festival on Friday, Oli said the obstruction could not be continued for a long as it was wrong from the perspectives of national and international laws and humanity as well as in consideration to the aftermath of the devastating April 25 earthquake.

The Prime Minister, however, expressed his commitment that he would not make any compromise on sovereignty of the nation in solving any problem.

Explaining that the current situation of the nation is really problematic, Oli claimed he was working to end the crisis.

"The government is effortful to integrate all with flexibility," the Prime Minister said, "It is trying to move the nation ahead in a united manner."
