Nepal Bhasa Manka Khala has formed a 13-member main organising committee to celebrate the Newari new-year, Nepal Sambat 1126, which is some three weeks away. A meeting of Manka Khala put together the panel under the leadership of social worker Hikmat Bahadur Mali, with Krishnaa Tamrakar, Shailesh Bareju, Devendra Bhakta Shrestha, Bijaya Ratna Asanware, Jyoti Nakarmi, Bina Shakya, Puspa Ratna Tuladhar, Dasharath Rijal, Bijay Ratna Bajracharya, Manoj Newa and Sumika Bajracharya as its members. Naresh Bir Shakya was selected the member-secretary of the committee. The committee plans to stage a rally from Basantapur on November 2, which will be followed by a special function.
