Book on Jana Andolan-II launched

Kathmandu, March 29:

Speaker Subas Nembang today released Unnais Din, a book on 19 days of the mass movement, at a function. The book is penned by Bishnu Nisthuri, president of the FNJ.

“The book portrays the intensity of the people’s movement, which ultimately compelled king Gyanendra to give up dictatorship and respect the power of the people,” Nembang said. He urged leaders to join hands to hold CA polls on time.

Rights activist Krishna Pahadi said that the book is a reflection of history.

Writer Khagendra Sangraula said the book could be useful in showing who stood where during the movement.

Nishturi said he documented the chain of events with help from many personalities.

Modern Books is the publisher of the 219-page book.
