Both Houses of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today, with the House of Representatives convening at 1pm and the National Assembly at 1:15pm, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

In the HoR, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle will present the Citizen Investment Trust (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083 and the Payment and Settlement (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, and propose consideration of the Employee Provident Fund (Tenth Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sobita Gautam will propose a general discussion on Nepal's membership in the Council of Asian Legislative Institutions. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal will present a condolence motion on the death of former National Assembly member Shukraraj Sanyok.

In the National Assembly, Prime Minister Balendra Shah will present the annual reports of the National Human Rights Commission for FY 2080/81 and 2081/82. He will also present the bill received from the HoR, along with the Legislative Management Committee's report, concerning continuation of provisions under the Nepal Special Services Act, 2042.

The Upper House is scheduled to discuss and pass the proposal, the Secretariat said.
