Officials grilled :
Lalitpur: The High-Level Investigation Commission led by former SC Justice Krishna Jung Rayamajhi on Sunday quizzed Colonel Suresh Karki and Major Generals Kiran Shumsher Rana, Gajendra Limbu and Kul Bahadur Khadka over their alleged role in suppressing the Jana Andolan. Talking to reporters after the interrogation, the officials denied hand in the suppression. The panel said it would publish on Monday the names of persons to be grilled next. — RSS
NC flays attack :
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress on Sunday condemned the vandalism at the Free Student Union office at the Institute of Engineering, Thapathali. Students of the ANNFSU-R had on Thursday also taken along with them important documents from the office. In a statement, the NC said around 50 students claiming themselves to be ANNFSU-R members entered the campus and beat up FSU members Khum Bahadur Ghale and Rajesh Budhathoki. — HNS

MADHYAPUR THIMI: Minister of State for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Urmila Aryal, on Sunday inaugurated the Tulasi Mehar women boarding house at the Nepal Charkha Pracharak Gandhi-Tulasi Smarak Mahaguthi. Stating that the Mahaguthi should make its programmes more effective, Aryal pointed out the need to take ahead social service works on a campaign basis. — RSS
