KATHMANDU: A 142-member committee has been formed to mark the 2,561st Buddha Jayanti under the convenorship of the All Nepal Bhikkhu Federation vice chair Bhikshu Dharmamurti on Tuesday.

Under the committee different sub committees like, publicity, management, Dharma Deshana, Asthidhatu Pradarshan, Logistic Management, Finance Collection, Volunteers Mobilization, United Nations Parisar Buddha Jayanti Programme Running among others have been formed.

The committee will make its maximum efforts to promote and publicise the various activities related to Buddhism.
