BHAKTAPUR: House of Purna Gurung in Kuinkel Gaun of Changu Narayan Municipality-8 in Bhaktapur District was burgled of cash and valuables worth Rs 750,000 on Monday.

According to police, the burglars broke into Gurung’s house through the ankhijhyal, a wooden Newari window on first floor and broke cupboard before carrying off gold jewelleries and Rs 150,000 in cash.

Similarly, in a separate incident, a rented room of Yuvaraj Khatri who hails from Bajrayogini-7, was burgled of cash and valuables worth Rs 325,000.

The housebreakers broke into Khatri's room in Kalopul, KMC-5 by breaking padlock and carried off gold jewelleries and Rs 200,000 in cash on Monday, said police.

Meanwhile, police are searching for the housebreakers.
