KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court has sent Binay Tamang, driver of the bus that hit a teenager girl to death while she was crossing the road using a zebra-crossing at Basundhara on June 5, to the Central Jail.

Deputy Inspector General Mingmar Lama, in-charge of Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Rabina Chaudhary, 19, was killed on the spot after being hit by the bus.

DIG Lama said Tamang was charged with vehicular homicide as per the Motor Vehicle and Transport Management Act.
